Easy Easter Choccies

You’re One Hop Away from a Healthy Easter!

Easter (bunny included) is just around the corner!  With all these holidays and special occasions around, I know how hard maintaining a healthy lifestyle and balanced diet can feel at times. But it doesn’t have to be this way! Grabbing a choc mini egg every now and then isn’t going to do us any harm. What’s important is that our regular habits stay healthy, so that we don’t feel like we’ve tipped the balance into over-eating or binge-eating or that we’re missing out on anything. Enter our ‘Easter Treats eBook’  from The Juicy Life Program. Making chocolate may sound time-consuming and messy, but this super simple method is proof that it’s easy to be healthy and still enjoy homemade deliciousness.

You’ll need some Juice Plus+ Chocolate and/or Vanilla Complete to make it (a plant-based protein and super food powder) which you can order here.

– 1/2 cup coconut oil
– 1 tbsp rice malt syrup
– 1/4 cup raw cacao powder
– 1/4 cup Dutch Chocolate Juice Plus+ Complete
– 2 tbsp coconut cream*

– 1/4 cup coconut oil
– 1/4 cup cacao butter
– 1 tbsp rice malt syrup
– 1 tsp French Vanilla Juice Plus+ Complete
– 2 tbsp coconut cream*

Place all ingredients in a saucepan over low heat and melt to combine, stirring continuously. Jazz it
up however you like (see ideas in Step 2 below) and transfer to Easter moulds to set in the fridge.
Store in the fridge until ready to eat (or hide!)

Here are some ideas for extra crunch, chew or flavour to add to your chocolates:
– goji berries
– coconut flakes
– raspberries, blueberries or pomegranate seeds
– raisins, sultanas or chopped dates or dried ginger
– salt flakes
– a drop of natural peppermint or orange extract
– cacao nibs with the white chocolate mix

*Use leftover coconut cream in many other recipes in this book, like Salted Caramel Coconut bites or Chocolate Mousse.
